Position Overview Role Overview:
Novelis has several useful process models where the code implementation is becoming obsolete. This Co-op project will initially focus on a Mill Vibration model which has known issues which need attention. A revamped Vibration model will be a useful tool to help Novelis understand vibration issues with existing and future mills. The Co-op will be responsible for reviewing the model, identifying a path forward for modernizing the code and implementing the proposed plan. One of the goals for this project is to provide a template for updating other models. At the end of the assignment the Co-op will have had the opportunity to:
Understand how simulations are used in industry Develop a deeper knowledge of how code is developed and tested Opportunity to refine coding skills Exposure to project management principles Responsibilities & Qualifications
Responsibilities:
Review and document key features of existing model Communicate with model stake holders Develop specification for future model state Develop and implement a plan to achieve the specified state Test and demonstrate model functionality Qualifications The applicant should be a junior or senior, studying for a degree in engineering or computer science. Experience in programming is key (at least one of Python, C, C++, JavaScript, Java, Matlab) Good mathematical background including Calculus Demonstrable leadership skills. Interest in career development in manufacturing Good communication skills Ability to write clear technical documentation Familiar with front end/GUI programming is a plus
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Systems Architecture & EngineeringEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
