Description:
Monitor the main entrance and exit of the campus with an attention to detail.
Identify and report any suspicious activity.
This position will be responsible for the safety and security of the campus and students.
Knowledge of all North Cobb Christian policies and procedures is necessary.
Implement emergency response activities as appropriate, while providing superior customer service.
Guards must be pleasant as they are the first people parents, employees, students and visitors meet when they enter the campus.
Provide assistance and support to visitors ensuring that a professional and courteous manner is undertaken.

Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older Possess a valid Georgia Drivers License High School Diploma or GED Have a basic knowledge of computer skills Have a knowledge of basic security skills and familiarity with Georgia Public Safety Law Must be able to lift or carry up to 40 pounds Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat Must be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification (will be provided by the school) Ability to handle crisis situations, calmly and efficiently Great interpersonal and communication skills Prior experience preferred but not mandatory Must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Monitor and control main entrance of campus, including movement of pedestrian and vehicle traffic Maintain a professional image that includes greeting students, parents, visitors and employees in a polite and friendly manner.
Monitor surveillance equipment Authorize entrance of people and vehicles Detect and report any suspicious activity Turn away unauthorized person(s), trespassers or violators Assist with morning and afternoon car line Provide assistance to those in need Maintain a working knowledge of all emergency policies, procedures and regulations to be able to respond to alarms, incidents and emergency situations.

This position is a 10 month hourly position.
Additional compensation and opportunities if candidate has capability to work on the facilities team during student breaks.
Coaching opportunities are also available for those with experience.
