We are in the market for a Director of Data Management & Business Intelligence!
We would like someone with 10
years experience in this role, or at least progressing into this role with 5 years at this level.!
We prefer someone with a Masters in Computer Science or Engineering!
Must have stron experience in data warehouse architect (ETL, ODS, DM's, Cubes) as well as building a Business Intelligence function.
Advance knowledge of OLAP technologies, including applicability to various reporting programs would be a great skill to posses for this role.
Here is a little more information about your day to day responsibilities.
Strategic Thinking & Collaboration: You will work closely across the organization to understand your customer's data and information challenges and then develop strategies to solve them.
Ensuring High Availability & Performance: You will be responsible for ensuring the high availability of data needed by the Risk, Analytics and Operations teams (>200 people). In addition, many of our users are Statisticians and Data Scientists who rely on access to data without encountering any speed or performance issues. Thus, you will also need to define the physical architecture, server and storage for the DW as well as the construction of data marts or cubes.
New Data Integration: We have disparate data that we acquire from different sources and environments. One of the objectives of this role is to ensure integration and smart linking of these disparate data sources.
Successfully Deliver Results: You will be responsible for designing and implementing the data loading (ETL) and publishing processes within the Data Warehouse/Data Mart. You will be responsible for designing and implementing reporting application including BI dashboards, reporting cubes, static reports as well as catering to users ad hoc report requests.
New Tool Implementation & Maintenance: The organization has a high appetite for information and data resulting in several hundred requests each month. You should want to work collaboratively with various department heads across our company to develop BI tools and other applications that automate these reports and make users more self-sufficient (including training of users).
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of DBA's and Business Intelligence professional's while driving the execution of our data warehouse and MIS strategy.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
