We are seeking a Software Development Manager who will be responsible for driving innovation, growth, and customer experience. You will lead a team of 5 developers in creating the best customer experience for internal and external applications. We offer an excellent benefit package including a matching 401k and stock.
Your responsibilities will include:
A deep understanding of software development in a team, software development methodologies and scheduling, a track record of shipping software on time, services development, and people management to this high-accountability role.
Strategic planning, project execution, development of engineering talent, and continued operation to improve what is already a stable and high performing team
Drive continual improvements to the efficiency and flexibility of the platform while keeping a high bar for security and availability
Strong technical credentials, with at least 5 years leading or managing software development teams, ideally with hands-on architectural or distributed systems experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate proven technical leadership.
Strong analytical skills with excellent problem solving abilities.
Development expertise in OOP, C# or Java, UNIX, Perl, C++, XML, Web services, and UNIX tools
Participation in the full development life cycle, including project scope, requirements gathering, estimation, specifications, coding, configuration, testing and deployment
Work closely with end users to make sure that the application or system meets the needs of the business
Development of enhancements to core eCommerce systems
Apply your experience and vision to create innovative solutions while simplifying and optimizing processes and operations
Run an Agile team, and have multiple stakeholders across the business
Serve as an authority on function and technical issues in designated areas
Work with a wide variety of technologies, with expertise in Cloud services and tools
Experience in JavaScript and leading front end web technologies
Coordinate the establishment and execution of long-term architectural roadmaps for a very technical and scalable area
Basic
Qualifications:
BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience

years of related experience in software development and 5
years in people management
Strong abilities in C# or Java (preferably exposure to both)
Experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems
Working knowledge of SQL and relational and non-relational database systems
Strong bias towards continually improving skills and knowledge
Programming language and framework agnostic attitude
High attention to detail and proven ability to solve complicated problems
Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience with other languages and platforms such as C# and ASP.NET
Strong oral (speaking, listening, interpretation) and written communication skills
Experience with designing and implementing REST style services
Experience in JavaScript, JQuery, Dojo, HTML, CSS, AJAX, and NoSQL technologies
Good decision-making, problem solving and follow through skills
Strong organization and time management skills
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
